Diogu Predicts “Great” Future for D’Tigers

The future of Nigeria Men’s Senior Basketball team is secured
in the hands of the exciting youngsters coming through according to
captain and vets, Ike Diogu.

Diogu singled out Mbamalu Bryant, Uzoh Benjamin and Jordan Nwora
for praise and expressed confidence he is leaving the team in
capable hands.

‘I am Nigeria, I love Nigeria and love being captain of this
team. My goal is obviously to leave this the team in a better shape
than when I first joined.

‘The guys I played with; especially in last year’s Africa
Championship; Bryant, Uzoh and now Jordan, these guys are going to
be the future and I am just happy that I get to play with those
guys and also that the future of Nigeria Basketball is great,’
Diogu told reporters in Lagos.
