With the Summer Transfer window set to return fully
after the World Cup, some Nigerian players are expected to move to
new clubs. brila.net[1] looks at five
Nigeria players who could change clubs in the coming
days.

Kenneth Omeruo

Kenneth saw himself in the middle of Gernot Rohr’s 3-man defense
after the Franco-German tactician opted for a 3-5-2 formation in
the World Cup Group D’s clash against Iceland and Argentina.

It is also expected that Omeruo will be leaving Chelsea either
on another loan spell or a permanent transfer to a club that will
see him feature prominently.

Moses Simon

The KAA Gent’s forward narrowly missed out of the Russia 2018
World Cup due to a thigh injury he sustained in the Eagles
camp.

The pacy forward has been rumoured to be a target of English
Premier League side, Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp looks set to add
depth to his already amazing attacking team. Missing out of the
World Cup could be a setback, but we are expecting a move to happen
for the winger.

Ahmed Musa

If there is any Nigerian currently waiting to decide his
uncertain Leicester City future in this transfer window, it has to
be Super Eagles’ pacy winger, Ahmed Musa who was Nigeria’s
brightest star at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The Leicester forward bagged a brace in the win against
Iceland, the victory brought hope into Super Eagles’ World Cup
dream but crashed out after losing 2-1 to Le Abiceleste of
Argentina.

Several European top clubs such as Galatasaray, Huddersfield,
Fulham, Newcastle have been in contact with Musa’s agent for a
possible move for the speedy forward.

Williams Troost Ekong

After forming a formidable partnership with new Brighton
defender, Leon Balogun at the Super Eagles’ defence, William
Troost-Ekong has been a target for French Ligue One side, Lille
OSC.

Brila.net reported that Lille was already in talks with
Williams’ agent immediately the Super Eagles crashed out of the
ongoing Russia 2018 World Cup. It is expected that a decision will
be made and a deal is sealed in the coming weeks for the
light-skinned defender.

Francis Uzoho

The Deportivo La Coruna 19-year-old shot stopper who was the
Super Eagles’ first choice Goalkeeper in Russia 2018 World Cup, is
currently on the radar of newly promoted La Liga side SD
Huesca.

Having garnered some more big stage experience in
Russia,  Uzoho is likely to make a move to the newly promoted
side. Uzoho was returned to Deportivo’s team B over the last season
after making two back to back La Liga appearance.
