HE Comrade Adams Oshiomhole CON, mni The National Chairman
All progressives Party (APC) Abuja – Nigeria.
Through
Sen Lawal Shuaibu,
Deputy National Chairman North and head of Diaspora desk APC HQ
Abuja
VISIT OF MR ADE OMOLE TO
YOUR OFFICE AS REPRESENTING APC UK CHAPTER.
Firstly I will like to acknowledge and commend you and the
leadership team of our party for the great sacrificial effort you
are putting into ensuring that there is peace in the party and
getting the party primed for ideological repositioning as well as
systematically preparing the party for the 2019 general
elections.
In view of our observed hectic schedule of your esteemed offices
at this time it was not our intention to write a letter of this
type to you at this crucial moment. However it has become very
necessary considering the widespread reporting on the above subject
matter in both the print and social media and entitled
“2019: APC UK TO CREATE TECHNOLOGY TO ENSURE EFFECTIVE
MANAGEMENT OF PARTY MEMBERS AND ELECTION ACTIVITIES” .
Your Excellency Sir, for the avoidance of doubt and for the
record, I wish to state clearly that Mr Ade Omole does not
represent APC UK Chapter.
He does not have the permission of the Chapter to do so. I note
however, that his visit to your office is not the first of his many
impersonating behaviour in this regard as he has variously been
reported to either be visiting Mr President, holding meetings in
Abuja or meeting government officials in London or even going to
the ridiculous extent of mounting the podium to speak on behalf of
the Diaspora Chapters at our recently concluded national convention
when several leaders of our party’s approved Diaspora Chapters were
in Abuja and attending the convention.
A man who would flagrantly abuse the constitution of our party
even when he was yet to even complete our membership application
form which is online in the UK, by joining forces with others who
were also not members of the party to sue the party in a foreign
land (UK) cannot claim membership of our party (see court papers
attached).
Mr. Omole was in court with the lead claimant, Mr Joseph
Adebola. Moreover the method they employed in suing the party was
predicated on getting judgement against the party in absentia. I
only got to know about this case through a friend on Facebook who
brought their nefarious activities to my attention and after
confirming the veracity of the case, I attended the hearing at the
Royal Court of justice, London to defend myself, the Party and our
former National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun.
They withdrew the case when they saw defeat starring them in the
face, but went out as is their norm to tell lies to the public
through press statements. And all this was after Chief Oyegun gave
him the honour of replying exhaustively to his petition against me
(see letter from Chief Oyegun to Ade Omole attached)!
Those of us in the leadership of APC UK, chose to not engage Mr
Omole in any media war but rather to focus our energies in
contributing to the growth of the party. At the appropriate time
Sir, we will provide your office with a full brief of our
programmes both past and present.
Our chapter of the APC in the diaspora is one of the twelve (12)
NEC approved chapters of the party in the diaspora because we chose
from the very beginning to follow the rules and guidelines as set
by the leadership of our party. We did not emerge by fiat! We
therefore exist as a constitutionally recognised unit/branch of the
Party and we have our structure and leadership in place.
For this, what we have received from Mr Ade Omole and his gang
is endless name calling and abuses (see an email example attached);
because they rather wished us to do things their own way without
recourse to the rules/guidelines that were communicated to the
diaspora groups from the time of the leadership of Chief Adebisi
Akande.
During this his visit to your offices sir, it is reported that
he spoke about helping the Party to develop an app to help the
Party manage her database. Here in APC UK we are currently on a
country wide branch visitation on membership validation and
issuance of ID CARDS to all fully subscribed members as
constitutionally required.
In APC UK, we have a robust membership database, have members
with the requisite experience and have recently acquired a digital
ID Card printing machine with the capacity to interface with and
link across multiple platforms. Our ID cards have security barcode
and therefore when needed only those with it can access our events
if so desired.
Finally Sir, I wish to state, that in their drive to implement
their rascally and dubious agenda in our Chapter, Mr Omole and his
co travellers have not only been engaged in anti-party activities
in breach of our constitution through attempt at factionalisation,
but also at a personal level consistent display media and contact
intimidation of the party.
Their goal has been to harass and intimidate me to submit to
their display of power contacts or connection. This to me amounts
to a level of behaviour I never relate or submit to, because in my
view it amounts to moral corruption which is the very foundation of
all other forms of national corruptive conduct.
I therefore state emphatically again that Mr Ade Omole does not
represent APC UK as a leader, chieftain or whatsoever title he
wishes to appropriate to himself, and cannot access favours or
benefits due our disciplined, committed and loyal members.
Thank you very much Sir for your kind attention.
With best wishes and prayers for your continued good health.
