Ariyo Frank (not real name), a Lagos-based affiliate marketer with Bet9Ja, has accused the sports betting platform of withholding his affiliate commissions worth up to N1 million.
Frank told www.aso.rocks that these commissions were accrued between July and August and the betting company held on to them without explanations.
“I am affiliated with Bet9ja through a platform I run. I have been doing this for a while and it has been hassle-free,” he told www.aso.rocks.

“But in July, the platform refused to pay my commission of N439,000. I contacted them but they didn’t get a reliable response. I thought the issue would be resolved in no time.
“Surprisingly, the issue repeated itself in August and this time it was N575,000 that was withheld without explanations.”

Frank said that, when he realised that the issue had become repetitive, he reached out to the company but he did not receive a satisfactory resolution.
“My several attempts to communicate with Bet9ja’s customer service team usually leaves me frustrated,” he said.
“The situation has not only caused financial hardship but also eroded my trust in the company.”

When www.aso.rocks reached out to Bet9ja via X on Thursday, the company stated that they were working to rectify the situation.
“We wanted to follow up on the issue and to ensure that everything was resolved to your satisfaction. We understand that this delay may have caused inconvenience and frustration for you, and we deeply regret any inconvenience it may have caused,” Bet9ja’s response stated.
“Please be informed that this incident has been undergoing a very robust investigation since our receipt of the complaint with the goal of holistically unearthing what transpired and addressing the issue in a pleasant manner, including satisfying the customer.”
