But at the couple’s white wedding in Iceland, Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, provided an answer that silenced critics by confirming Mr Eazi as an entrepreneur with businesses across 18 countries on the continent.
“I don’t know of any musician who is an entrepreneur, very calm and loyal like you,” Dangote acknowledged while toasting the groom.
“Tosin, you know you are a part-time singer, you are an entrepreneur. In fact, when I was with you yesterday, we did not talk about music, we were just talking about business. I never knew you had businesses in 18 countries in Africa. I must really congratulate you for being a great guy. I’m very proud of you.”
Dangote went further to describe Eazi as the kind of son-in-law who could someday, alongside Temi, join the ranks of the world’s wealthiest couples.
The bride’s father, Femi Otedola, further confirmed this narrative when he gifted the newlyweds a copy of his new book, Making It Big. The present, described as both counsel and a keepsake, carried a message of building wealth, vision, and resilience together.
