I hear people saying, he doesn’t want her to destroy his image.
Who gave him the image? At the time he married her, 70% or more Nigerians did not know Ned from the next tin can. As a matter of fact, the first time his name was mentioned to me, I was like, I only knew about him from the case with the govt. and nothing much. By the time I interviewed him, he was out of the House of Reps and what I noticed in his home town, I will keep to myself. Now back to Gina, when he married her, he was referred to, as ‘Regina Daniels husband’ everywhere. Even Google called him that because that’s what was everywhere for about two years. She already had 8mIllion followers on Instagram and millions on other socials. It was also at that time, he discovered social media and his posts were all about Baby Regina and he gained followers rapidly. He featured in some of her more controversial videos, like the Kayamata one with Jaruma, if you all remember. Was he trying to support her or was he basking in her limelight? At the time, he wasn’t thinking about his image o! This same image you say he is protecting by his tagging his wife and mother of his children a chronic drug addict. She polished his image but what is he doing to hers? She is in the business of ‘keeping up appearances’…is he even thinking about what will happen to her after all this? Money can clean up the dirtiest grime, I know but what if she doesn’t want the money and that life, going forward? Point is, he was too quick to issue that statement, which was only put out to protect himself. He actually said “My house”…so as his wife, she has no stake in “his house?” Are we paying attention to anything at all or just been swayed by the word, ‘billionaire’? If billions alone can guarantee anyone choice political positions, Atiku would be President and that’s one person that married for alliances.
I can tell you that her larger than life image and influence after she married him and started flaunting wealth, contributed to his winning the Senate. If you ask me, she was his trump – card to the Senate. I may not be wrong if I say, he targeted her for that purpose. Whether she knows her worth and contributions, I don’t know but I have done many articles stating this opinion in the past.
I’m shocked to see how people are gobbling up the narrative he is churning out and neglecting the fact that a young girl cried for help. It’s sad.
Regina, I pray for you this morning, that you heal from all these hurt and that you make the right decision for yourself going forward. If you want to return to your husband’s house, do so and be more circumspect, especially with what you post on social media. As I tell children, anything posted can be amplified, misinterpreted and magnified to be used against you one day.
If however, you want to choose your own path, be strong and decisive. Most of all, stay clean. I’ve heard a lot about you from your godmothers in the industry, who all love you to pieces, you are a very good person, with a heart of gold. You can still touch the sky and beyond…if only you stay clean and focused.
We will continue to root for this young woman…not everyone is blindsided by a Billionaire’s status.
I learned Regina is giving an interview today. If domestic violence is established, Nigerian women must rise up for this young woman. Let’s wait and see if the GBV warriors will intervene. They are dead silent for now.🚶🚶🚶
