Commemorating Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, Apostle Itodje Okiemute Godstime, the lead minister at Pavilion of Worship Assemblies (POWAS) in Mpape, Abuja, has urged citizens across the federation to transcend sectarian divides and embrace harmony, mutual purpose, and shared duty to move the nation forward.

In a commemorative address, the cleric advised Nigerians to look beyond tribal, religious, and partisan cleavages, maintaining that the country’s true power lies in its citizens’ collective will to build a shared tomorrow. He underscored that societal diversity should be harnessed as an engine for collaboration rather than exploited as a source of friction.

Apostle Itodje emphasized that the national milestone should not merely be observed with celebrations and formalities. Instead, he framed it as a vital opportunity for self-examination, prompting individuals to assess their personal contributions toward nation-building. He advocated for everyday values such as integrity, goodwill, civic pride, and mutual respect within local neighborhoods.

Addressing the ongoing hardships facing the populace, the faith leader called on citizens to stay optimistic and continue playing constructive roles in their respective spheres. He championed proactive backing for programs focused on sound governance, grassroots peace, education, and community welfare.

Offering prayers for enduring stability, wisdom, and prosperity across the country, Apostle Itodje concluded his statement by appealing for unbroken solidarity to ensure that upcoming generations inherit a flourishing, united nation.
